💙💛 September is Ukrainian Heritage Month in Ontario!
Today, September 7, we recognize Ukrainian Heritage Day and celebrate the rich history, culture, traditions, and contributions of Ontario’s Ukrainian community.
September 7 marks the anniversary of the arrival of the first documented Ukrainian immigrants to Canada in 1891. Since then, Ukrainian Canadians continue to enrich communities like Sault Ste. Marie and make lasting contributions all across Ontario.
Today, we honour Ukrainian heritage, celebrate the strength and resilience of the Ukrainian community, and recognize the many ways they continue to shape our province. 💙💛
